When music is really loved it carries something in between the tones that we've already experienced in our mothers womb - something known and yet ungraspable. "Flowing with music on the other side of time" - no composer can write such music, it is there..., or it isn't.
The music of the CCn'C label moves between classical music, jazz, contemporary music and world music. Music as a contemporary expression of continuously changing cultures, made by musicians, composers and ensembles who understand contemporary music as world music and who are able to create something existential and original out of an integral understanding of global musical cultures. The term "classical is no longer understood as a category but rather as a dynamic process which connects the different musical genres.
Kristjan Järvi and Ulrich Rützel launched the label in September 1998 with "Supreme Silence", a work by the Estonian composer Peeter Vähi. Today it offers 10 CDs, two of them got the "German Record Critics Award". The artist roster presents the Turtle Island String Quartet, the Russian violinist Tatiana Grindenko with her Ensemble Opus Posth., the Absolute Ensemble from New York - directed by Kristjan Järvi, the Swedish vocal ensemble Amanda, the Germany producer and composer Vladimir Ivanoff, the Hungarian folksinger Irén Lovász and Peeter Vähi.
